Contact Pressures

Using ground reaction forces we can compute contact pressures in the knee joint. This is particularly useful to demonstrate how a change in varus/valgus angle can affect the loading pattern within the joint. We can also show that with a reduction in weight, the tibial contact pressure in the knee decreases.
